My Personal Experience

As a seasoned hunter, I was initially intrigued by the features that the Hiram Crossbow Scope promised.

I have had the privilege of using many crossbow scopes in the past, but something about the Hiram piqued my interest.

It was an early morning in November when I first took it out for a spin.

The temperature was just above freezing and a light mist clung to the woods, but the Hiram's stepless red and green illumination was up to the challenge.

The clarity was astounding and the scope cut through the morning haze like a knife.

The green illumination was particularly striking against the dew-covered foliage, and I could discern details with an impressive level of clarity.

What I appreciate most about the Hiram is its robust construction.

On one occasion, I was moving through some heavy brush when I accidentally knocked my crossbow against a tree.

I cringed at the sound, fearing the worst for my scope.

But to my surprise, the Hiram held its own.

There was not a scratch on it and it held zero like a champ.

This kind of ruggedness is exactly what hunters need, and it's clear that the Hiram was designed with real-world hunting conditions in mind.

One of my favorite features is the intuitive scale on the magnification adjustment ring.

During one memorable hunt, I was tracking a whitetail deer that was unusually fleet of foot.

The deer was moving at a fair clip, but thanks to the Hiram's crossbow speed adjustment, I was able to adjust the magnification to match the deer's speed and get a clear, focused shot.

I pulled the trigger and the deer went down.

I was both amazed and grateful for the precision the Hiram offered.

The Hiram's ballistic reticle type has also been invaluable.

Being able to adjust for bullet drop compensation between 20-100 yards has made long-range shots much more feasible.

I remember one instance where I spotted a wild turkey at about 80 yards out.

Thanks to the Hiram's bullet drop compensation, I was able to adjust my aim and take the shot.

The turkey didn't stand a chance.

The Hiram Crossbow Scope has proven itself to be a reliable companion on my hunting trips.

It's more than just its features; it's about how those features come together in the field to create a seamless hunting experience.

Whether you're a weekend hunter or a seasoned professional, the Hiram provides the performance and reliability you need when it matters most.

Price and Value for Money

Priced at $95.99, one might wonder if the Hiram Crossbow Scope truly delivers value for money.

In my experience as a hunter, I can confidently affirm that it does.

The Hiram offers features and performance that are typically seen in crossbow scopes that are priced much higher.

From the clear and bright optics, the adjustable reticle illumination, the robust construction, to the precise magnification adjustment ring – all of these features contribute to a highly effective hunting experience, making its price tag seem like a bargain.

In terms of value for money, the Hiram stands out particularly for its durability.

The rugged construction means this is an investment that is built to last.

This is not a scope that you'll need to replace after a season or two; it's a scope that can withstand the rigors of hunting and keep performing at a high level.

When you factor in the longevity, the price of the Hiram becomes even more attractive.

But the true value of the Hiram lies not just in its price or the features it offers, but in its performance in the field.

The confidence that comes from knowing that your scope will perform under any conditions is priceless.

The Hiram delivers that confidence, and that, to me, is the ultimate value for money.

So, if you're a hunter seeking a reliable, robust, and high-performing crossbow scope that won't break the bank, the Hiram Crossbow Scope is an excellent choice.

It's an investment that pays dividends in successful hunts and memorable experiences in the great outdoors.

For its price, the Hiram offers exceptional value and is a testament to the fact that great quality and performance can be affordable.

The Drawbacks

As with any product, the Hiram Crossbow Scope isn't perfect and does have a couple of minor drawbacks.

One of these is related to the scope's battery life.

While the scope's CR2032 battery is estimated to last between 100 to 300 hours, I found that in practice, when using the illumination feature extensively, the battery life tends to lean more towards the lower end of that range.

I recall one early morning hunt where I was tucked away in my tree stand, waiting for the perfect shot.

I had been using the green illumination quite a bit due to the low light conditions.

Suddenly, I noticed that the illumination started to fade.

I realized then that the battery was on its way out.

Luckily, I had a spare battery in my pack.

But it was a reminder to always carry an extra battery, especially during those dawn or dusk hunts when the illumination is most useful.

Another minor issue I've encountered is the eye relief.

While the stated 3.1-3.3 inches generally provides a comfortable viewing distance, I found that in certain shooting positions, particularly when I was taking an elevated shot from a tree stand, I had to adjust my stance slightly to maintain a full field of view.

This is more of a minor inconvenience than a major issue, but something to be aware of.

It's important to note that these are relatively minor points in the grand scheme of things.

They certainly don't detract from the overall performance of the Hiram.

But they are worth keeping in mind as you consider this scope for your hunting needs.

Should You Buy? Concluding the Review

In conclusion, the Hiram Crossbow Scope is an excellent option for both seasoned hunters and those just starting their journey in the world of hunting.

Its robust construction, clear optics, and precise magnification adjustment make it a reliable companion in the field.

The minor issues with battery life and eye relief are worth noting, but they do not significantly impact the overall performance of the scope.

What truly stands out about the Hiram is the exceptional value it provides for its price.

The features and performance it offers are comparable to much more expensive scopes, making it a smart investment for any hunter.

The fact that it is durable and built to last means you'll be enjoying the benefits of this scope for many hunting seasons to come.

Moreover, the confidence and precision that the Hiram instills in your shooting can't be overstated.

As a hunter, knowing that you can trust your gear is essential, and the Hiram certainly earns that trust.

The minor drawbacks I've mentioned are easily outweighed by the overall quality and performance of the scope.

And while no product is perfect, the Hiram comes close in the realm of crossbow scopes.

So, should you buy the Hiram Crossbow Scope? If you're looking for a high-performing, durable, and reliable crossbow scope that offers excellent value for money, then the answer is a resounding yes.

The Hiram is an investment that will enhance your hunting experience and contribute to many successful hunts in the future.

Happy hunting!
